Whitlock steering move to Lewmar in Havant

Lewmar has shifted production of its steering systems from Luton, Bedfordshire, to Havant, near Portsmouth. The company acquired Whitlock, established in Luton in 1928, 7 years ago, and has since rebranded its products under the Lewmar name.

As Lewmar's CEO, Peter O'Connell commented, moving an entire production line is no mean feat. "Moving a factory is never easy and this was no exception. There were some inevitable problems but bringing steering to Lewmar's headquarters will have enormous longer term benefits for our customers and our business."
