Race 9 of the Clipper Round the World race started from Santa Cruz yesterday in perfect conditions.

The ten yachts were led across the line by Uniquely Singapore, at the start of the 3, 116 mile leg to Panama. The start marks the culmination of some intense activity for the shore teams, after two yachts were dismasted on the previous leg.
