Running afloat

A motorist nearly drowned herself when she drove her £96,000 Mercedes-Benz car into a fast flowing river while following the guiodance from her dashboard satnav.

She drove into the River Sense in Leicestershire - the English county furthest from the sea - and was swept downstream for over 200m.

The track she was driving along was signposted as being unsuitable for cars.
